Welcome! If you are here, that must mean you are family! That is the way that we live our life here on the farm. This land is our home and we wanted to create a place that other families can come and get back to nature, laugh, and re-connect. My husband and I met and fell in love at the entrance of our property in 2005. Back then, I was a corporate gal from my head to my toes. Now, that same head is covered in a rhinestone fedora, and the toes are covered in lavender colored cowboy boots.
It is my opinion that a woman re-creates herself many times within the span of her lifetime. Sometimes I re-create myself on a daily basis. Over time I have come to embrace those changes as a wonderful opportunity to experience all of the treasures that life has to offer. My life lessons (both bad and good) are where I have found my most heart wrenching trials and my greatest achievements. Every step and every choice I have made has led me on the path that I am on today, and it is exactly where I am meant to be.
That is the purpose of this blog. I would be lying if I told you that I know all of the answers. Most days I just wake up, put my feet on the floor and pray that I am the type of woman that the devil is saying "Oh crap, she's up!"
I am a woman of contradictions, and there is no other way I would like to be. I make terrible decisions sometimes and I try my best to learn from them. I can make dirt look good, but I can't stand for it to be on my hands (that's what gloves are for!). I love my little black dress and a glass of wine in my hand just as much as I love my boots and working with my power tools. I wear many hats, and each one of them is just as much a part of me as the next one.
I hope that I can help create and inspire you to believe in yourself and to remind you that you are a gift to the world. Laugh often, love passionately, and dare to be inspired because YOU inspire so many. Even if you don't realize it.
